Design Story

The composition is built in layers. A gold arch across the top reads PITTSBURGH STEELERS, set against a quilted black field that lets the metallic scrollwork glow instead of shout. Two armored figures flank the emblem, standing guard rather than charging. Below, a bridge and skyline are rendered in fine engraved line, with a plaque reading STEEL CITY, EST. 1933, and beneath it three words stacked like a creed: PASSION, LOYALTY, BROTHERHOOD. A football anchors the base. The black-and-gold contrast does the heavy lifting here, and the restraint of the palette keeps the ornament from tipping into noise. On the handle, a small vertical line of text reads HERE WE GO.
