Design Story

The composition is strictly hierarchical, read from top to bottom like a monument. A banded collar carries the words LSU TIGERS in serif capitals, flanked by fleur-de-lis. Beneath it, a snarling tiger head sits at the visual apex — gold-striped, open-mouthed, framed by scrolling acanthus and faceted violet and clear stones. The block letters LSU anchor the mid-panel, weighted and immovable. Below that, a rendered stadium façade with the plate TIGER STADIUM, then a quiet list: TRADITION, PRIDE, EXCELLENCE, FAMILY. A small Louisiana silhouette and a football close the sequence. The ornamentation is dense, yet the reading order never breaks — scale does the organizing work, not space.

Use & Experience

On a tumbler's vertical silhouette, this reads as a continuous column rather than a single motif. The tiger holds the front-facing focal area at eye level; the lettering and stadium panel resolve as you look downward. The purple handle repeats the LSU mark at a smaller scale, extending the composition sideways. Carried, it behaves as a bold graphic accessory with an architectural profile.
