Design Story

The silhouette is the whole idea here: a tall gothic keyhole, arched at the top and tapering to a pointed base, with the cut edge tracing every scroll, spire and filigree flourish of the frame. A crowned skull sits at the crest, small red gem accents mark the shoulders and the base, and inside the arch a spine-like column runs between rows of tiny skulls, chains and clockwork gears. The bronze-toned palette reads warm against dark ground, and the layered detail gives the whole piece a carved-looking relief that catches light unevenly - some edges bright, others sunk into shadow. It is quiet rather than loud. Ornamental, deliberate, and just unsettling enough to hold a second look.

Display & Styling

As a heteromorphic wood sign, the custom die-cut silhouette does the heavy lifting - no rectangle boxing it in, just the keyhole outline and its cutout perimeter detail reading clean against a wall or door. The central composition stays balanced when hung, and the twisted cord at the top continues the ornamental line rather than interrupting it.
