Design Story

The composition is strictly symmetrical: a horned skull crowns the top axis, sweeping ribbed horns defining the widest point of the silhouette, while a ribcage cascade runs down the center line toward a pair of outstretched clawed hands that anchor the lower corners. The mat is die-cut to the creature's outline rather than boxed into a rectangle, so the negative space around it becomes part of the graphic. Warm ivory bone tones sit against deep oxblood and near-black shadow, with small red gem accents at the eyes and crown providing focal punctuation. Detail density is highest at the center and loosens toward the claws, which gives the eye a clear path from top to bottom.
