Some floor pieces decorate. This one interrupts. The silhouette itself is cut away from the rectangle, following the jagged outline of a fracture rather than a frame.

Design Story

The composition is symmetrical and centered: two chain-bound clawed hands rise from opposite sides of a dark chasm, steel talons dragging forward toward the viewer. Between them, the pit recedes in sharp tonal steps from warm bronze to near-black, punctuated by molten orange seams that act as the only high-chroma accents. The palette stays restrained — oxidized brown, graphite, ember. That discipline is what makes the depth read: the eye falls into the negative space at the center before it climbs back out along the claws.

Entryway & Styling

Seen from standing height, the scale works in its favor. The two hands anchor the left and right thirds, the void holds the middle, and the broken-stone edge dissolves the mat's border instead of containing it — so the artwork appears to belong to the floor rather than rest on it. Placed at a threshold, it reads as a directional statement piece with full-surface coverage and no wasted margin.

Available sizes: 16" × 24", 20" × 32", 24" × 36", 30" × 40".

A doormat that welcomes nobody, and does it beautifully.
