Design Story

The front panel is anchored by a bold layered W in deep red, outlined in black and topped with a gold crown — a clear focal point that holds the curve of the crown without distorting. Around it, hand-lettered MADISON arcs up one side while BADGERS runs in loose marker script on the other, balanced by a badger mascot rendered in black and white. Red splatter and sharp black slashes scatter across the cream ground, giving the composition rhythm and keeping the negative space active rather than empty. A dark textured side panel and a deeper red rear section carry the palette around the full silhouette, while thin gold piping traces the seams. The brim repeats the cream, red and black sequence, closing the visual loop.
