Design Story

The front panel is organized around a single crimson C, crowned above and extended by a swept wing to the right. That wing does the quiet work — it turns a static letterform into a direction, pulling the gaze from the crown's apex down toward the brim. Cream negative space keeps the mark isolated and legible; navy panels on the side and brim close the frame. Thin gold linework traces seams and edges, acting less as ornament than as punctuation. On the side panel, a reduced city skyline, a small crowned baseball and the word CLEVELAND form a secondary register, deliberately smaller so the hierarchy never collapses. Red brushed strokes behind the letter introduce controlled disruption against the symmetry.
