Design Story

The artwork reads as a two-tone build: a cream upper field carrying the arched UCLA wordmark in deep blue, and a saturated blue lower band that grounds the whole silhouette. Between them, a circular medallion in blue and gold-toned linework holds a scripted Bruins mark, framed by laurel branches and anchored by a basketball motif. A ribbon beneath reads EST. 1919, with LIMITED EDITION lettering set inside a bordered panel on the lower band. Fine engraved-style borders and pinstripes run the vertical proportion, giving the composition rhythm rather than clutter. The restrained palette \Uffffffff cream, collegiate blue, warm gold \Uffffffff keeps tonal contrast high while the negative space around the crest lets the focal panel breathe.
