The eye lands on the centre first: a golden basketball framed in a ring of clear stones, with the words LOS ANGELES LAKERS cutting across it in purple. Everything else in the composition exists to lead you back to that point.
Design Story
Around the emblem, the surface is worked into dense scrollwork \Uffffffff swirling filigree in warm gold over deep purple panels, punctuated by faceted violet and amber gem shapes. Below the main crest sits a second, smaller medallion holding a trophy motif, echoing the first in miniature and giving the lower half its own quiet focal point. The palette never wavers: purple and gold, repeated in metal, stone and enamel-look detail. It reads less like a sports graphic and more like an heirloom object, ornamental rather than loud, still rather than kinetic.
Use & Experience
The vertical proportion of the tumbler suits this layering. The crest sits high on the front-facing panel where the hand naturally turns it, while the ornamental border carries the design around the silhouette so there is no blank side. The visible handle in purple picks up the palette and keeps the whole shape reading as one piece. Carried on a desk or in the hand, it makes its statement without shouting.
