A floor piece built like a commemorative poster: symmetrical, framed, and confident enough to sit still and hold the room.
Design Story
The composition reads top to bottom in clear tiers. Arched lettering announces the city, then a heavy slab wordmark anchors the upper third in cream and gold. Beneath it, the ball-and-script emblem sits inside a radiating medallion, backed by a night skyline in deep purple. The lower half opens into an arena view drawn in perspective, with a warm hardwood court glowing against darker seating. A cream banner carries the 1947 date, flanked by two rendered basketballs. Filigree scrollwork and a repeating border close the edges, so the artwork never runs out of the frame \Uffffffff it terminates deliberately. The palette stays disciplined: purple, gold, cream, near-black.
Room & Styling
At room scale the centered medallion gives the rug a fixed focal point, which is what you want under an open floor plan. Placed forward of a sectional, the border stays visible while furniture crops nothing essential. Dark ground tones let pale upholstery and light flooring read as negative space around it.
