Design Story

The composition works because of contrast discipline. The left panel carries the three-pointed star, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team wordmark and the word BRACKLEY in quiet spacing. The right panel goes dark, stamped with W17, BRIXWORTH and POWER UNIT: MERCEDES. Two halves, two factories, one silhouette. The teal piping is the only bright note in the frame, and that restraint is exactly why the eye follows it from collar to hem. Diagonal seam lines and a subtle hexagonal texture keep the dark side from flattening out.

Layering & Wear

As outerwear, the split composition does real work: the front-panel graphic sits where a jacket is actually read, the shoulder line stays clean, and the color block lengthens the torso. The standing collar frames it, the sleeve line keeps the two-tone story running to the cuff. Layered over black, it becomes the visual anchor of the whole outfit.
